Gyokuro is a premium tea from Japan grown in the Shizuoka Prefecture 500 to 1,500 feet above sea level. Grown and processed using an ancient technique in which the leaves are covered with bamboo and straw in order to increase chlorophyll and reduce tannins before gentle steaming. This results in a sweeter tea with reduced bitterness.
This is a light and fragrant green tea with a refreshing, balanced flavour. Naturally low in caffeine and recommended in the morning.
